Temple Graduate Workers go on strike.
The FAQs on this page directly address Temple University’s page designed to answer questions about a possible TUGSA strike. In some cases, Temple’s answers are accurate, but often they are vague and misleading, designed to cast an air of doubt around employees exercising their rights.
We voted with a 99% YES margin to authorize a strike. While this does not necessarily mean that a strike will occur, the union wants the Temple community to know that planning is underway.
Our students and the completion of their courses with minimal to no disruption are our top priorities, that is why it is imperative that Temple meets TUGSA reasonable demands to ensure that the learning conditions we all pride ourselves with are reflected in the quality of our working conditions.
Here, you will find information about the strike for TUGSA employees and the general public. You will also find our list of demands as well as contact information for the designated strike liaisons at each school and college.
In the coming days and on an ongoing basis, we will continue to provide information and resources to assist you and keep you informed of any new developments.
