Get Involved

There are many ways that you can get involved with TUGSA! If you are not already a TUGSA member, we encourage you to join and have your voice heard by the union that represents YOU here at Temple University!

For more information about joining TUGSA, you can email us or call us at 215-235-0512. You can also download a membership form here. Once you have filled out the form, you can contact TUGSA at the e-mail address or phone number above and someone will be happy to come by your office to pick it up and will also bring you a free, union-made TUGSA t-shirt!

If you are not eligible to be a member, you can always become an “affiliate” or “associate” member! You can download an associate member form here.

If you are already a member, of if you are not eligible to be a member but still want to be involved, there are many other ways you can participate!

Do you like to write? Are you artistic? Are you concerned about child care or domestic partner benefits? TUGSA offers many opportunities for graduate students to get involved, gain skills, and meet people.

Email Ed Avery-Natale (staff@tugsa.org) if you are interested in joining a committee that will work with Temple University on any of these issues, in helping TUGSA with our newsletter, and much more!

Email union@tugsa.org or call 215-235-0512 if you are interested in lending your time and skill, particularly  to any of the following:

  • Translating literature into non-English languages
  • Attending meetings and rallies
  • Distributing leaflets, putting up posters, etc.
  • Talking to people in your department or around campus about TUGSA
